Welcome to J Steppin’ 4 Autism, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to autism awareness, inclusion, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
Founded by a devoted mother inspired by her son’s journey with autism, our organization was created to turn personal experience into community action. We are committed to building greater understanding, acceptance, and opportunities for individuals with autism.
At J Steppin’ 4 Autism, we focus on creating meaningful impact through community-based initiatives that bring people together, raise awareness, and support families navigating the autism journey.
Our Mission
To promote autism awareness and acceptance as an everyday practice, not just an annual focus, while building inclusive support networks for individuals and families affected by autism.
To carry out this mission, we host community-based initiatives including the J Steppin’ 4 Autism Awareness Walk and the Give the Gift of Play Toy Drive, both dedicated to supporting children with autism and strengthening community understanding, inclusion, and support.
Our Vision
A community where autistic individuals and their families are understood, valued, and experience everyday inclusion - centered on the building belief that autism is part of identity, not limitation.
My Story
In March 2020, the world changed for all of us with the arrival of COVID-19. That same year, my world changed in a deeply personal way when my young son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
There were countless tears, endless questions, and moments of uncertainty as I tried to understand what this diagnosis meant for his future — and ours. Yet through it all, my faith has remained stronger than my fear. I have learned that progress looks different for every child, and hope has become the anchor of our journey.
Today, my son continues to amaze me. He is handsome, loving, brilliant, and full of personality. He enjoys watching the news especially Fox 2, jumping and bouncing on his yoga ball, laughing with pure joy, and riding his scooter. I thank God every day for blessing me with my very own superhero.
I share our story to raise awareness and to encourage greater understanding and acceptance of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My hope is that you will join us as we bring families and communities together in honor of my son and all those living with autism.
My son proves every single day that he is a miracle. Autism is a part of who he is, but it does not define him. I will continue to be his voice, and he will forever be my heart.
