J Steppin' 4 Autism Fun Walk Brings Awareness

Jun 6, 2026

The 4th Annual J Steppin' 4 Autism Fun Walk took place at the Maplewood Richmond Heights High School track, drawing incredible support from families, advocates, and providers across the region. Founded by Kim Creswell to honor her son, Jaxson, the free, family-friendly event has become a vital hub for autism support, education, and acceptance in St. Louis.

This year’s event drew a fantastic turnout, with attendees enjoying custom balloon creations, live music, and special toy distributions for the children. First Alert 4 (KMOV) Anchor Morgan Harris and Multimedia Journalist Jordyn Burrell attended as Co-Grand Marshals, leading the walkers and helping to amplify the message of inclusion. The morning’s success was made possible through the dedication of community partners like Autism Support Now, Latitude Therapy, and St. Louis Arc, as well as generous donations of bottled water, granola bars, and Cheez-Its from Sam's Club and tasty pretzels from Pretzel Boys.

The event successfully united the community for a morning of pure joy, acceptance, and celebration. It also caught the attention of major local news outlets, who helped amplify the walk's message of deep community impact:
