500 toys and Counting - Celebrating the Growth of Jaxson's Give the Gift of Play

From 75 toys in 2021 to 500 toys in 2025, the growth of Jaxson's Give the Gift of Play Annual Toy Drive has been nothing short of incredible. But it wasn't just about the numbers, it was about the hearts and hands that came together to make it happen.

Each year, family, friends, local businesses, and neighbors have stepped up in amazing ways. Some donated toys, others shared our mission online, and every act of support reminded me that community is at the heart of every smile we create.

One of the most memorable moments came last December through our partnership with Easterseals Midwest. Through Jaxson's Give the Gift of Play Annual Toy Drive, we donated toys for their Milk and Cookies with Santa event, setting them out so each child could choose a gift of their own. Watching a child’s eyes light up as they picked something special from the table was unforgettable. That single moment perfectly captured why we do this: to bring joy, inclusion, and celebration to children with autism.

Another moment that deeply impacted me was being invited to share our mission on Fox 2 News with my son, who inspired this nonprofit. Fox 2 just happens to be his favorite news station (yes, he really watches the news!), and the interview took place on his 8th birthday, which made the experience even more special.

After the segment aired, I experienced pure joy seeing emails come in from viewers who had watched our story. Some purchased a toy, while others chose several from our Amazon Gift List, each leaving messages thanking us for what we do. It was a powerful reminder that even small moments of visibility can inspire meaningful acts of kindness and that every act of support, big or small, helps us bring joy to more children.
